Few weeks ago, a volunteer with whom we cooperate for the project “Emergency Ukraine” asked us to help sterilize two of her three cats. Her family could not afford sterilization costs due to a period of financial difficulties, but spaying was urgently needed to save their lives. One had already mastitis while the other was losing weight because of hormonal changes. We couldn’t leave her request unheard!
The lack of veterinarians in the town, forced them to travel about 100 km away to reach one of the few good and reliable clinics in that area. They went to Dnipro for a one-day trip to not run any risk, because despite media have lowered their interest, the war in Ukraine is still far from over.
Lynxy and Umka, both 1 year and 7 months old, were sterilized the same day and after the operation they drove back home together with their family.
Surgery was just on time because both suffered from ovarian cysts. Now their quality of life has clearly improved and they have become incredibly sweet and clingy.
Thanks to all of you for making this happen!
