Found the first days of the year with a severe fracture of the upper jaw, Silvestro was allegedly victim of a firecracker or badly kicked by a cruel individual, as it happened to another female cat rescued in similar condition in the same town.

Unable to receive proper care at the municipal shelter, the cat was taken to a private vet clinic by OIPA’s volunteers in Alcamo, Italy.

The cat had a bad scab inside the mouth that was immediately drained to avoid infections and the broken palate was stitched.

Silvestro is now lovingly looked after by a volunteer, who has welcomed him inside a temporary foster home.
