On the occasion of the National Wildlife Week (2nd – 8th October) and the World Animal Day (4th October), volunteers of OIPA India – Maharashtra, Amma Care Foundation (ACF), and Plant & Animals Welfare Society – Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) in cooperation with Maharashtra Forest Department jointly conducted an awareness programme at Sheth Karamshi Kanji English School – Mulund in Mumbai
The event attended by 688 students and 26 teachers and supervised by our International Representative for Maharashtra State – Ms. Nisha Subramanian Kunju – focused on animal welfare, wildlife species, wildlife conservation and illegal pet trade.
OIPA Maharashtra in cooperation with ACF and PAWS-Mumbai are specialized in rescuing wildlife species and have established a phone line to support citiziens who need help with wild animals.
