Tethered outdoors for six years and used as guard dog, when the factory went bankrupt, none thought about his destiny. Factory’s owners left the dog in miserable conditions. This German Shepherd was living 24 hours a day outside, exposed to rain or constant sun, without a proper shelter, on an area covered with feces and urine, without ever receiving a caress and a name.

This was the kind of life this dog was used to, till the day, he was lucky enough to meet our volunteers in Badolato, a village in Southern Italy, that finally gave him a hope: the opportunity for a new life.

Inno (aka Hymn – name given by volunteers) had never gone out for a walk; he had never socialized with his fellows or humans; he had never tried how soft a dog bed can be. Why? Because he spent his life in solitude protecting people who actually never cared for him.

Inno is now lovingly looked after by our volunteers and followed by two dog trainers who are helping him learn gaining new experiences and trust humans.

We hope a happy ending will come soon for him! A forever home where he will be loved and protected as he deserves.
