We positively welcome the vote of the European Parliament for the adoption of the #NatureRestorationLaw!
With more than 80% of EU habitats in poor condition and European nature in alarming decline, this Law proposes to restore at least 20 % of the EU’s land and sea areas by 2030 and repair all ecosystems in need of restoration by 2050.
The Nature Restoration aims to:
– Restore wetlands, rivers, forests, grasslands, marine ecosystems, and the species they host
– Increase biodiversity
– Prevent natural disasters and reduce risks to food security
Let’s start repairing the damage we have caused to our Nature.
To guarantee all of us a future, it is essential to restore ecosystems, habitats and species. If we don’t stop the decline of our planet, we won’t have a future!
