Beaten, starved, and humiliated. OIPA Italy’s volunteers in Siracusa, Sicily, had found Clyde in terrible conditions almost three years ago. Bony, with a broken leg and a painful ulcer, and tied among heaps of rubbish with no access to food and water. He was confined inside an old farmhouse with another female dog. After being rescued and following a very long period of physical and psychological rehabilitation, Clyde started getting better and regaining trust in people thanks to volunteers’ love and perseverance.
Unfortunately, when the suffering seemed to be only a far memory, this unlucky dog has started not to walk. Medical examinations and a CAT scan have revealed a terrible outcome: Clyde suffers from a degenerative neurological disease. He can’t move anymore and to aggravate his health situation, the old and painful ulcer he had is coming out again.
However, as long as he has the strength to appreciate the beauty of life OIPA volunteers will be there for him.
Help CLYDE continue medical treatments for his remaining time, don’t leave him alone!
