Teaching new generations the love and respect for animals is the best way to build a better world and a better future for all living beings.
OIPA Cameroon is always involved in promoting animal welfare through education in schools; if children learn how to behave with animals since their early age they will coexist pacifically with them for the rest of their life.
A basic lession consists in sharing 10 simple rules that can truly save the life of an animal:
- fresh and clean water must be always available
- provide a proper and nutrient diet
- a warm and dry place to sleep with bedding
- regular vaccinations against diseases such as rabies
- sterilization is fundamental to avoid
- regular physical exercises
- friendship
- deworming treatment
- anti ticks and fleas treatment
- take the animal immediately to the vet if you see that is ill or injured
