OIPA International is glad to welcome Animal Rescue Cambodia as a new Member League of the organization. This new entry is going to widen the list of more than 200 animal rights associations already part of our confederation.
With no animal protection laws, animal abuse is highly widespread so the mission of Animal Rescue Cambodia is to create a more sustainable and long-lasting animal welfare in the Country and end the suffering of Cambodian strays dogs and cats. This result has been obtained, until now, and still can be through a specific spaying and neutering program addressed to reduce the overpopulation of street dogs and cats, the education of local communities on animal welfare and protection and the improvement of quality and standard of veterinary care.
In addition, the association fights for the ending of the cat and dog meat trade.
OIPA International will actively support the activities of our member league to guarantee the welfare of animals in Cambodia.
