Ozzy was a stray cat, he was living in the streets with his mother and brothers. When OIPA volunteers find him, they noticed that he was the only one who couldn’t walk and he was weak and skinny.
The volunteers brought him to the vet: Ozzy had a congenital deformity on the back paws. He couldn’t walk due to this deformity and he had many wounds on the back side of the body due to the dragging movement.
The Vet said that Ozzy will never be able to jump and run, but with a surgery he may walk again. The treatments were complicated and lasted for months, but recently he had the first surgery and he’s recovering. Now he has to do specific exercises to strenghten the muscles. In the next months he will have the second surgery to the other paws.
The volunteers keep him busy, since he can not move much. Thanks to their commitment he may have a whole new life.
