International Organization for Animal Protection (OIPA), is an International Confederation of associations (today more than 220) for the animal protection and the defence of animal rights all over the world.
Founded in 1981 by Milly Shar Manzoli, OIPA is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) associated to the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) since 1992 and the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). OIPA is also accredited at the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and included in the Register of Representatives of Interest of the European Commission.
The purpose of the Organization is the protection of animal rights, the defence of animals from any kind of mistreatment, cruelty and abuse and the protection of the environment.
OIPA also aims to enhance public awareness supporting the abolishment of any kind of animal experiments, the ban on breedings, fur farmings, wildlife trafficking at a worldwide level. The Organization wants to contribute to the creation of a better, healthier and more ethical world, where medical science is not based on violence and civil society has learned to respect and protect the environment and any sentient beings and form of life that share the Planet with the human being.
OIPA is looking for new International representatives.
Representatives are volunteers and their activity is for free.
What we ask:
• Creating and encouraging your projects and/or campaigns (national/international) but also activities assigned by the Presidency Office or the International Relations Office. Our campaigns aim to protect the rights of the animals using the following channels:

⇒ Conferences
⇒ Education in schools and/or rural communities
⇒ Demonstrations and protests
⇒ Social media
⇒ Contact with media and press
⇒ Contact with International Doctors – LIMAV (www.limav.org)
• Should look for and keep contacts with media (radio, tv, etc.) on a national/international level.
• Open and support a local OIPA Delegation. The delegation MUST BE REGISTERED LOCALLY and RECOGNIZED BY LOCAL BODIES
• Write informative material (brochures, flyers, etc) and update them periodically
• Start writing a local newsletter
• Open a Facebook page (or/and an Instagram or Twitter page) to support and promote delegation’s activities as well as OIPA HQ activities www.oipa.org/international
• Looks for funds and donations to promote your projects and OIPA activities.
• Cooperate with OIPA International HQ and other Delegations on common projects and campaigns
OIPA branches work autonomously and each one carries out the issues and fights more urgent according to local needs.
