A big rescue operation was recently carried out by our member league Bir Pati de sen Tut in Turkey. 35 cats and 2 dogs have been successfully saved from a life of confinement. For a long time, all these animals have been living together crammed into a small room in precarious conditions.
The prolonged suffering caused the animals a long list of serious health diseases. They have all been diagnosed with upper respiratory and fungal infection, dehydration, eye, teeth and kidney issues. 2 of the cats are suffering from FIP.
OIPA has lend a supporting hand partially covering veterinary costs for checks, tests, therapies and treatment.
After some weeks, 15 cats have already recovered well and are waiting for adoption. The other 20 are still under treatment due to their severe health condition.
Supporting our projects, we can continue to offer help to homeless animals and animals in dire need in different countries.
